Healthy Lunch in Las Colinas: Ideas for Office Workers
A five-question checklist for choosing a healthy lunch in Las Colinas, with plain ingredient lists from our short menu so you can decide for yourself.

By Tiffins ToGo. Updated October 17, 2026.
Looking for a healthy lunch in Las Colinas you can actually stick to on a workday? Use a five-question checklist at any counter: what is the main thing in it, is something fresh in it, what am I drinking, can I see what is in it, and is it a size I will finish. At Tiffins ToGo, inside Urban Center Market at 387 E Las Colinas Blvd, Suite 106, every item has a short, plain ingredient list, from the vegetarian Hummus Wrap ($8.95) to three fruit smoothies. We are open 9 AM to 10 PM daily.
We do not tell you what is healthy for you, and we make no health claims. We show you exactly what is in each item so you can decide.

What "healthy" means here (and what it does not)
"Healthy" is a loose word. Different people mean low sugar, more vegetables, more protein, fewer processed foods, or simply "something that does not make me sleepy at 3 PM."
So this guide does not tell you what is healthy for you. It gives you a framework, and it points to a published source for the general idea.
Harvard's Nutrition Source describes a "Healthy Eating Plate" that suggests filling about half your plate with vegetables and fruits, about a quarter with whole grains and about a quarter with protein. It also suggests choosing water, coffee or tea over sugary drinks. The guide says these are approximate proportions, not calorie rules, and that individual needs vary.
That is general guidance from a university source. It is not a claim about any food we serve, and nothing here is medical advice. If you have a medical condition, talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian.
The five-question work lunch checklist
Run these questions at any counter in Las Colinas or anywhere in Irving.
- What is the main thing in it? Look for something you recognize, such as grilled chicken, beans, vegetables or fruit.
- Is there something fresh in it? Tomato, greens, cucumber or fruit all count.
- What am I drinking? Water is simple. A fruit smoothie is a fine treat, but it is still a sweet drink.
- Can I see what is in it? A short, plain ingredient list is easier to judge than a long one.
- Is it a size I will finish? A lunch you eat half of and toss is not a good deal in any sense.
No question has a right answer. The point is to make the choice on purpose.
Healthy lunch in Las Colinas: ideas for work, by situation
Here are practical ideas that do not need a kitchen or a microwave.
If you want more vegetables. Look for wraps and sandwiches with fresh vegetables inside, not just on the side. Ask whether you can add extra greens or tomato. Many counters will say yes.
If you want a meatless lunch. Hummus is a common base for vegetarian wraps. Harvard's guide lists beans among protein sources, and hummus is made from chickpeas.
If you want something light. A smaller order, such as a wrap and a water, can be enough for a lighter lunch day.
If you want something filling. A sandwich with a protein, cheese and vegetables is a more substantial option. Pair it with water.
If you are eating at your desk. Pick food that does not need utensils. Wraps and sandwiches fit that.
If you avoid dairy. Check smoothie bases. Many smoothies use yogurt or milk, so ask what is in the cup before you order.
How a short menu helps you choose
Long menus make choosing harder. A short menu makes it easier to apply the checklist, because you can compare everything in under a minute.

Reading our menu through the checklist
We want you to decide for yourself, so here is what each item contains, stated plainly.
Grilled Chicken Melt. Grilled chicken, provolone, chipotle mayo, tomato, dressed greens and dill pickle chips on a toasted roll.
Turkey Club. Turkey and bacon, so it contains pork. It also has provolone, chipotle mayo, tomato, greens and banana peppers.
Cheesy Beef Melt. Roast beef, provolone, mayo, horseradish sauce, tomato, pickled red onion and greens.
Hummus Wrap. No meat. Hummus, cucumber, tomato, pickled red onion, banana peppers and greens in a flour tortilla.

We do not publish calorie, sugar or other nutrition numbers, and we are not making health claims about any item. We are only telling you what is in the cup, the roll or the wrap.
